From San Jose, ask for the road to Limon, Highway 32. If you have never been through San Jose, we recommend following a taxi  until it can lead you to the Limon highway or use a GPS  (see below). When you reach Limon take the road leading to Cahuita, Puerto Viejo, and Sixaola, Highway 36.  Go past Cahuita and go through the Bribri / Sixaola intersection.   Continue to Puerto Viejo.

When you arrive in Puerto Viejo, continue to drive another 7 km through Puerto Viejo, past Cocles, Playa Chiquita and arrive at Punta Uva. Keep going a little further. You notice less businesses and residences and more vegetation. You will soon pass by the El Refugio Grill on your right.

The entrance is approximately 50 yards after on your right. Look for a small trash receptacle with a palm thatched roof. Turn right here.  This is our entrance!!!

Go another 200 yards, where you should remain on the left side and begin to drive up the first steep hill. Now is a good time to put on the 4x4. Villa Toucan is 600 yards in at the end of the road and up two steep hills with the cement strips.

There will be a gate at the entrance of the property. Please ask us for the code.
